Art for the Heart exhibition.

Few months ago I found this invitation on Magically Mixed Art Community group Facebook page.

I read descrition on it and it reminded me of when and  why I did start creating!  in those low, hard and dark days, to express those hidden feelings, release the tension from my heart, to let the mind play with something else than sadness, resentment and emotional pain and maybe even to paint an imaginary friend for myself :).  For me the artistic expression is an awesome tool for healing the heart and a soul. And it is working for me every day.
Art gives me peace and joy. Playing with  colours and textures, touching paint with my fingers makes me happy!  My house now looks like a small gallery, happy colourfull paintings on every wall are making my days bright and cheerful. ( My son told me lately, mum I think you should stop painting for a while, we don't have any more walls for your paintings:) ). And the painting taught me that if you don't like what you created you can always start again on new canvass or just paint over and over, it is making whole painting more interesting, rich. Just like in life, no matter what!  we can always start again tomorrow or even today, right now.
I got inspired by this invitation  so now have an honour and pleasure to be a part of this amazing event.
This is my painting for that exhibition

It's called "Care birds"
And this is my description for it:
" It's a powerful thing, the feeling you get when you know you have someone you can count on in your journey to recovery. To care for you,(..) to help you make sense of it all every step of the way..."
I found those words written on a Buderim mental health hospital wall and this is my wish for each and every person going true rough path in their life.   I feel and I know this IS the most important thing, because when I was there on dark bottom of my life there was no one there for me, and to have someone who cares, listens, holds your hand, wipes your tears and reassures you that you CAN do this and that all will be ok, was my biggest longing and dream.
Every day my art is helping me to find a way to peace.
This painting is called  "Care birds"
So if any of you friends will be near by Yarra Gallery on Federation Square between 15-17 of November  pop in and check out all that meaningful beautiful art there.

If you need more information go to Tobin Brothers website http://tobinbrothers.com.au/art/
I personally can't go there but I am waiting for pictures and articles about it on Tobin Brothers blog. :)
Thank you for reading and sharing my joy.

My Muse came to me.

Creativity-tea with the Muse workshop with Denise Daffara. Two things I like very much combined! : creating and drinking tea!
I had an amazing weekend at Buderim Art Cottage.
I got to meet talented and inspiring Denise Daffara,
and what a delight she is to be around, spend the day creating with bunch of super girls!
I like everything about that workshop: meditation to connect us with our muse, delightfull selection of teas, cute tea pot we got to keep
yum yum snacks

and omg!!! gluten free carrot cake, tea ceremony, peaceful  atmosphere there, cute tea cups,
and most of all my Muse!
She came to me and said:
Today my dear one, look deep in to your heart, because there is where your true essence resides! be open! Let it out And have fun with it!  Don't stress and relax!!
At first it was bit challenging: new ideas, new technic of painting - Scratchy noises of dry brushes :) crinkled skin behind my ears but on the end I love
everything about her,( colors,  thick lines, multitude of painted layers, the way she looks at me from her painting :) not only with her eyes but also with her heart) I will treasure that connection we now have.
That's how she looked at first

And than she transformed...and you know....she also loves tea very much ;)

Very content girl here.
Thank you for poping in.

With a head in a spotty clouds.

First week of kids holidays!!!

We are blessed with sunny days. So we have already done: camping, sunburn, puppy surgery, baked and eaten too many cookies, had lots of quiet time with kitty on my lap,

and some arty staff!  And there is still one more week left and more exciting things coming our way!

This weekend I am doing Creativi-Tea with the Muse, Buderim Workshop with Denise Daffara, and a group of beautiful girls.

And next weekend our family is off to Byron Bay, Daniel and the kids for a relaxing weekend in this beautiful spot, me for a 2 day long Artomology Mixed Media Workshop at the Nest with the awesomest Jane Davenport. What a treat for my arty soul!❤️

I am such a lucky girl lately that I feel sometimes that my head is in a clouds!
Just like this girl have her head in spotty rose shaped clouds! :)

On this journal page I got a bit inspired by my dress:).

Supplies I have used: a beautiful stencil I wish I knew the name of !
Prisma colour pencils in blue shades.

Donna Downey Class! Yes please!!!

Oh! so new and scary and exiting is that blog thing for me :)

But about classes !  These where 2 great days at Joybells Scrapbooking shop!
Very nice venue, beautiful friends and lots of arty toys to play with.
Before class I rummaged  in a deepest drawers of my art room and dug out my forgotten and lonely pan pastels:) I had them for a long time and i am hardly using it!
But they look so pretty in a trays:)

It was surprising how bright they coming out on canvas! I looove bright!

And how the texture catches pigments.

I discovered few more things those day:

Donna Downey is an awesome, fun teacher and also beautiful, down to earth person. ❤

OMG you can put Gelatos on canvas!

You can grow poppy flowers in QLD? Shocking right?

Liquitex Light modelling paste Is bubbling if you dry it too hard with heat gun, so are the liquid Golden acrylic paints:).
Or that...i do not like oil pastels! At all!
Or that my pit pens aren't completely useless and are playing nicely with Gelatos! .....
And I am sure many more!

Now I just need to reorganise my desk, and find some space for pan pastels there, so I can use them more often, and also keep my eyes open for Donnas classes at Joybells next year!

Thank you for looking
Have fun with your art!
